Refund Policy

Last updated: July 10, 2026

This Refund Policy applies to paid bigcut subscriptions and optional usage-based credits purchased through bigcut checkout.

How to request a refund

To request a refund, contact [email protected] with the email address used for your bigcut account, the transaction or invoice reference if available, and a short explanation of your request.

We review refund requests according to this policy, the checkout terms shown at purchase, Paddle buyer terms where applicable, and any mandatory consumer protection laws that apply to you.

Subscriptions and cancellation

You may cancel auto-renewal at any time through your billing settings or the billing portal. Cancelling auto-renewal stops future renewal charges, but your current paid billing period normally remains active until the end of that period.

Cancellation does not automatically create a refund for the current billing period unless required by applicable law, the checkout terms, Paddle buyer terms, or a manual Bigcut review decision.

Annual plans

Annual plans are prepaid discounted plans. Annual plan refund requests may be reviewed if they are submitted within 14 days of the initial purchase or renewal, the account has low usage, and high-value or high-touch features have not already been consumed.

For bigcut, low usage generally means 100 or fewer embeddings or equivalent cloud-processing actions during the relevant billing period. Bulk onboarding, priority processing, or similar high-touch work can make an annual plan ineligible for refund review.

Monthly subscriptions

Monthly subscription charges are generally non-refundable once paid features or cloud-assisted processing have been used, except where required by law or where Bigcut determines that a refund is appropriate due to duplicate billing, technical failure, or another billing issue.

Usage-based credits and cloud processing

Unused purchased credits may be eligible for refund review if the request is made within 14 days of purchase and the credits have not been used, reserved, or applied to cloud-assisted processing.

Credits or usage already consumed, reserved, or applied to cloud-assisted import, audio analysis, embeddings, workflow processing, priority processing, or similar completed or started services are generally non-refundable unless Bigcut failed to provide the service due to an issue within Bigcut's control or a refund is required by applicable law.

Service availability and technical issues

If a technical issue prevents access to paid features, contact us first so we can investigate and try to resolve the issue.

If we cannot provide the paid service you purchased, we may offer a refund, credit, service extension, or other remedy as appropriate.

Legal rights

Nothing in this policy limits any mandatory refund, cancellation, withdrawal, statutory guarantee, or consumer protection rights that may apply under your local law.

For digital services or digital content made available immediately, withdrawal or refund rights may be limited only where applicable law permits it and you have given the required express consent and acknowledgment.

Abuse and misuse

Bigcut may decline refund requests involving fraud, abuse, repeated refund requests, violation of our Terms of Service, chargeback misuse, or use of content that the customer does not own or have permission to process.
